Partners In Health (PIH) is a Boston based nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide a preferential option for the poor in health care. By establishing long-term relationships with sister organizations based in settings of poverty, Partners In Health strives to achieve two overarching goals: to bring the benefits of modern medical science to those most in need of them and to serve as an antidote to despair.  Visit www.pih.org

Zanmi-Lasante

Zanmi Lasante is a sister organization to Partners In Health and is based in Haiti.  It is PIH’s flagship project—the oldest, largest, most ambitious, and most replicated. PIH/ZL operates clinics and hospitals at 12 sites across Haiti’s Central Plateau and lower Artibonite. Today, Zanmi Lasante is the largest nongovernment health care provider in Haiti, serving an area of 1.3 million people and employing 5,400 Haitian citizens.

“Zanmi Beni rose from the ashes of the earthquake that devastated Haiti in 2010. Envisioned as a refuge for some of Haiti’s most vulnerable children, it has become a haven for them, for their caregivers, and for our many friends and partners who are part of the ZB family.”
